A Rapid Antigen Test also commonly referred to as a Lateral flow test is a test that detects protein fragments specific to Coronavirus. This test can be done at home or in a hospital/doctors clinic. The results from this test are very quick and can be reported within 15 minutes.

Before you start this test please ensure your test-kit is not damaged.  

Step 1: Wash your hands and blow you nose into a tissue to get rid of nasal discharge you are ready to perform the test. 

Step 2: Remove the sterile swab from the sealed sheath very carefully ensuring not to touch the end cotton bud tip. 

Step 3: Tilt your head slightly backwards and then insert the sterile swab into one of your nostril till you feel some slight tension. 

Step 4: Once you feel this tension rotate the swab 4 times. Remove it and repeat in the other nostril.

Step 5: Take the seal off the top of the extraction buffer tube and insert the sterile swab. Rotate it for 15 seconds. 

Step 6: Remove the sterile swab by squeezing the sides of the extraction buffer tube to ensure that all sample out of cotton bud.

Step 7: Squeeze 3 drops of the solution into the specimen well on the test device. 

Step 8: Place the test device on a flat surface and wait for 15 minutes before you read your test result. 

Our tests have 97.58% sensitivity and 100% specificity, qualifying them for fit-to-fly purposes as well as general testing.  

Our tests are CE marked and registered with the MHRA.

There are different requirements for each country and some accept PCR only while others accept Rapid Antigen Tests. When returning back to the UK tests must meet performance standards of ≥97% specificity, ≥80% sensitivity at viral loads above 100,000 copies/ml. Our tests meet these standards.

Important: For travel purposes you will need to perform your rapid antigen test within 48 hours before you travel. 

Basic Antigen Package: Once you have placed your order, you will receive email confirmation and instructions on what to do when your test-kit arrives. Please familiarise yourself by watching the video and reading the instructions that we send. Before you get started set your camera on to record and then proceed with the steps. Once you have finished the sample collection and set your timer to 15 minutes stop recording. After 15 minutes take a photo of your test device next to your photo ID (passport). Then upload both your video recording and photo of test device and ID. A certificate will be issued within 60 minutes. 

Standard Antigen Package: Once you have placed your order, you will receive email confirmation and details on how to book your video appointment with one of our healthcare professionals. During your appointment the healthcare professional will guide you through the swabbing process and ensure that you collect your sample correctly. Once you have finished this process you will be instructed to set your timer to 15 minutes and once done to upload photo of testing device next to a photo ID (passport). A certificate will be issued within 60 minutes. 

Premium Antigen Package: Once you have placed your order, you will receive email confirmation and details on how to book your video appointment with one of our healthcare professionals. During your appointment the healthcare professional will guide you through each step of way from the swabbing process to reading your test deceive results. Please ensure to have photo ID (passport) during appointment. Once the appointment has been completed you will instantly receive your certificate. 

Yes, our Basic Antigen Package doesn’t require a healthcare professional. Instead you will need to video record yourself performing the test, once this is uploaded one of our healthcare professionals will view the video and ensure the test was done correctly. 

Unfortunately, you will not be able to use the Klarity service without internet access.
