How & When to Get Tested

As recommended by the NHS, if you are experiencing these symptoms of coronavirus which include:
Get your Covid home test kit
• A high temperature – this means you feel hot to touch on your chest or back (you don’t need to measure your temperature)
• A new, continuous cough – this means coughing a lot for more than an hour, or 3 or more coughing episodes in 24 hours (if you usually have a cough, it may be worse than usual)
• A loss or change to your senses of smell or taste – this means you’ve noticed you cannot smell or taste anything or things smell or taste differently.
Do You Have Any of the Symptoms?
If you have any of these symptoms, get a PCR test. This is a self-swab test that gets sent off to the lab and once it reaches the lab it can take up to 24 hours until you get your results. Please stay at home until you get your test results back even if your symptoms are mild. You can purchase a Covid home test on the Klarity Website or booking an appointment to visit your nearest NHS testing site.
About International Travel
For international travel, you will need to check the government guidelines on what the entry requirements are for the country that you are travelling to. You may be required to have a PCR test fit to fly certificate or a rapid antigen fit to fly certificate to enter the country you are going to. We advise that your order your test kit 7 days before you travel, you’ll need to then perform your PCR test within 72 hours before you travel and within 48 hours if you are doing a rapid antigen test
When performing a PCR test, you will need to post this back to a lab. At Klarity we will send you a prepaid postal box so all you need to do after you have collected your test sample is to place it in the postal box by following the instructions that were received in your test kit package. Then find your nearest priority royal mailbox and record your tracking number so you can track your package and see when it arrives at the lab. Once it reaches the lab you will have your fit to fly certificate sent to you within 24 hours via email and uploaded to your app.
